I completed my undergraduate training at the University of Sheffield, qualifying in 1990. I then undertook neurosurgical training at a number of hospitals including Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, The Midlands Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery and Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, before becoming a consultant in 2001.
